About

Caroline Hoover is an award-winning screenwriter, community volunteer, wife, and mother. She holds an MFA in Writing for Film and Television from the University of Southern California, and has worked for HBO Films in Development. When her children attended Sabot at Stony Point, she was on the Board of Directors and chaired the school’s first Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She has also been a member of the Virginia Screenwriters Forum and a Community Leader for Sundance Co//ab.

Caroline grew up in Wyoming (the big square one out west – nope, you’re thinking of Colorado – the other big square one, above that). In the 2nd Grade, she won an award for her story “The Glowing Green Mittens,” and has been chasing that external validation high ever since.

After living on the East coast for 15 years, Caroline moved her family – cross-country, during the pandemic – back to Los Angeles so she could resume her writing career.

She plays the fiddle, recently learned to scuba dive, and is terrified of opening tubes of biscuit dough.
